So last weekend I ventured out, in the snowstorm, to karaoke with some girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. The food was fair, standard bar food. The karaoke experience was quite entertaining. You had what were clearly regulars who worked the crowd as if it were a private concert. Then you had people half singing, half lip syncing attempting to entertain. There was 90s hip hop and R&B that played in between acts.
I sang The Fugees rendition of Killing Me Softly. Later on, when a Tina Turner was needed to sing Proud Mary, I was all over it!! I can’t tell you the number of times my sisters and I watched What’s Love Got to Do With It in high school; we knew every single song and dance move. Needless to say, I probably could’ve brushed up on the routine but all in all it was a fun time had by the group!
Check out a few pics of what I wore that evening.
The shirt is a glam vintage sequined piece. I paired it with a simple black skinny pant.
