What to Wear Wednesdays: Who Doesn’t Like Cookies?

By 1MommyMD.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House in Hyde Park. Some amazing mommy friends and I got together to bake some tasty treats as part of their “Cookies from the Heart” program. I mean who doesn’t like cookies?!

The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is “to care for families of children with complex medical needs by providing comfort, compassion and a sense of community. RMHC keeps families of hospitalized children together in a ‘home away from home’”. Families that stay in the house are focused on their children getting well; volunteers play a critical role in making sure the house is operating to best serve its guests. Some volunteers bring in prepared meals, cook meals on site or prepare baked goods to minimize extra tasks for the families during often trying times. There are many other ways to volunteer for the RMHC, to review see attached hyperlinks above.

Consider ways that you can give back and effect positive change in your community. Volunteering with RMCH is an awesome way to give back! There are several houses in the Chicagoland area as well as across the country.

Here are a few pics captured during the event.

For those interested in my look the top is past season Forever 21 and the jeans are past season Old Navy.

As always thanks for following!
Be well,
